To help koalas displaced by the fires you can give to the World Wildlife Fund who will be using donations to help restore the Koala Triangle a portion of Australias east coast hit hardest by the fires. As of January 11th 28 people have died homes have been reduced to rubble and over 63 million hectares of land are estimated to have been burned. The raging fires which have burned over 1235 million acres of land -- about twice the size of Vermont -- is believed to have killed nearly 500 million animals since the start of Australias bush.
The scale and intensity of these fires is difficult to fathom with around 17300000 acres already burnt and more than 500 million animals and counting estimated to have lost their lives so. Support starts from 5 donate now. We are providing support to expert wildlife vets to travel to fire-devastated areas - where they are helping any surviving animals and ensuring local wildlife carers have the support and resources they need. Donations to the the World Wildlife Fund will go towards supporting the injured animals impacted by the fires particularly the koalas.
How to help wildlife. We are also channelling much-needed funds directly to groups vets. Urgent work will be needed to restore these bushfire-stricken areas to regrow native vegetation and rehabilitate these areas so they may once again provide safe habitat for the animals.
